Book your Mental Health First Aid Training Today!

Similar to “First Aid” and CPR, Mental Health First Aid helps those experiencing mental health problems before they can get professional help and support.

Mental health problems; such as depression, anxiety, impulse control and misuse of alcohol and other drugs; are shockingly common in the United States. In fact, more than one in four American adults will have a mental health problem in a year. The National Council on Community Behavioral Healthcare and the Missouri and Maryland Departments of Mental Health have begun working with communities throughout the nation to implement Mental Health First Aid. The program helps arm the public with skills to help individuals who are developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

Clinical and qualitative research evidence demonstrates that the program helps the public better identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness, thus improving outcomes for individuals experience these illnesses.

Mental Health First Aid is a 12 hour course that addresses depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, self harm behaviors, substance abuse, eating disorders and schizophrenia. The course is designed for individuals with no prior experience or knowledge about mental illness. This is an excellent training for organizations, church communities, businesses and to use as a fund raiser for community organizations.
